Former resident of Marion, Iowa, Annette Fae Zink, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at 8:14 p.m., after several years suffering with Alzheimer's disease.
She was an only child born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Jan. 20, 1938, to Jesse and Lennice (Marvin) Johnston. Annette was a successful real estate agent with Skogman Realty and member of First United Methodist Church of Marion. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, beading and spending time with her family and friends. She was very patriotic, appreciative and generous. She told many great stories of her travels around the world and of her time living in Germany and around the United States.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Zink.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly (Mark) Penuel; son, Scott (Melissa) Gaston; stepdaughter, Laurie (Michael) LeBlond; grandchildren, Esther, Crystal, Trevor, Melanie, Fleurette, Genevieve and Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Christopher and Carson.
