ANNE ELIZABETH STELLWAGEN

Anne Elizabeth Stellwagen, 51, of Brighton, Mass., passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, after a long battle with colon cancer. Anne was born Dec. 24, 1964, in Iowa City, Iowa, and graduated from Iowa City High School. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass., she earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of California at San Francisco.
Anne is survived by her parents, Earle and Nancy Stellwagen; her brothers and their wives, John Stellwagen (Diana Davis) and David Stellwagen (Daina Avizonis); and her aunts and uncles, David (Karen) Holt and Stuart (Barbara) Charlson. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and by her brother, Michael Stellwagen.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life ceremony will take place Friday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, followed by burial in Oakland Cemetery.
