Anna "Katie" Dye Fehr, 98, passed away of natural causes on Jan. 8, 2016, which would have been her
husband De's 100th birthday.
Katie was born Dec. 28, 1917, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the sixth and last child of Anna and Mert Dye. She met Devere J. Fehr in 1940 and they married that same year, moving with the Navy and settling in San Diego, Calif. They had one child, Catherine Fehr Palmer, who married Walt Palmer, and one grandson, Lance Scott.
