Ann M. Weiland, 85, of Cedar Rapids, went to her heavenly home on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Father Christopher Podhajsky. Inurnment will be in
Czech National Cemetery columbarium at a later date. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.
Survivors include her son, Tom (Patty) Weiland; her daughter, Crys (Jeff) Hora; a granddaughter, Katie Hemann; and five great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Tim; grandson, Kurtis Hemann; parents, Frank and Anna Hasek; sister, Mary (Harold) Jepson; and brother, Jerry (Ann) Hasek.
Ann was born May 4, 1930, in Iowa City, and was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Ann's greatest joy in life was time spent with her family and her cats.
