Ann Patzkowsky, 58, of Stanwood, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 14, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at St, Mary's Catholic Church, where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tipton. Lahey & Dawson Funeral Services is assisting the family at this time.
Ann was born on June 29, 1959, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Francis "Swede" and Marcelene (Heuertz) Skeffington. She graduated from Central Community School in 1977 and attended Mount Mercy. She was married on Jan. 25, 1986, in DeWitt to Timothy Patzkowsky.
She worked as a special ed associate at Tipton Elementary. She loved helping others and always was right there to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed going to the river, swimming and reading.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Tim, of Stanwood; three children, TJ of Orlando, Fla., Philip of Stanwood and Ryan of Muscatine; one grandson, Joey; siblings, Mary (Dale) McMahon of DeWitt, Bill Skeffington of Phoenix, Ariz., Mike (Maruja) Skeffington of Orlando, Fla., and Tom (Marcie) Skeffington of DeWitt; many nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, John Sander of DeWitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Sander; and a sister-in-law, Jan Skeffington.
Memorials may be directed to the family in her honor.
