Ann Elise Ellyson, 41, died at the Crestview Acres Care Center in Marion, Iowa, on Dec. 21, 2015. Ann was born in Iowa City, Iowa, on Aug. 20, 1974, to Max E. Ellyson and Lorraine Riddell Ellyson.
She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Larsen and husband, Craig Larsen, of Cedar Rapids; her partner, Dennis Heeren; children, Alexis Heeren, Colin Heeren and Logan Heeren of Anamosa, Iowa, and Connor Meader of Marion, Iowa; and brothers, Mark Ellyson of Dover, England, Max Ellyson of Indiana and Gary Vance of Amana. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father; an infant daughter, Sophia Meader; and a sister, Becky Barkalow.
Ann graduated from City High in Iowa City and was a lifelong resident of Iowa. She loved her pets, gardening and cooking, but most of all, she loved her children.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up for her children on gofundme.com or donations can be directed to her mother for the children.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Anamosa, Iowa, at noon on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
