Angelou Keller, 89 of Cedar Rapids. “Angie” passed peacefully on Aug. 8 and she is now united for eternity with her husband Eddy. She was born on Christmas Day in 1932 to parents Ben and Malinda (Liebe) Grochow of Martin, N.D.
She graduated from the Trinity Hospital School of nursing in Minot, N.D. as a RN and began her career in Harvey, N.D. She was director of nursing for the Lutheran Sunset home in Grafton, N.D., and spent the majority of her career in many departments at St. Luke’s. After retiring to Anamosa, she worked at and then volunteered for Jones Regional Medical Center. Eddy and Angie celebrated 53 years of marriage.
She is survived by her children, Ron Keller and Danny Elder of Boynton Beach, Fla., Pam Keller of Wausau, Wis., Scott and Julie Keller of Olathe, Kan., and Todd Keller of Norwalk, Ohio, granddaughters, Pamela of Silver Springs, Md., Shelby of Orlando, Fla., and Hannah of Olathe, Kan.; sister, Grace Weigel of Ames, Iowa; sister-in-law, Janice Keller of Harvey, N.D.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Eddy; her parents; beloved sister, Audrey, four nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law and five brothers-in-law. Visitation will be at 10 am and services at 11 a.m. on Aug. 15 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Anamosa. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran.
