Angelo Joseph Bernolfo Jr. "Joe," 82, of Wickenburg, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, in Wickenburg.
He was born in Washington, D.C., on
June 25, 1936. After graduation from Walkersville High School, he served in the Air Force.
While living in Cedar Rapids in 1962, Joe and four others co-founded the Cedar Rapids Corvette Club. The club met in his garage. That club has now grown to be over 200 members.
He was preceded in death by his first love and wife, Jessie Bernolfo, until her passing in 1998; daughter, Donna Jo Bernolfo; mother, Mildred Bernolfo; father, Angelo Joseph Bernolfo Sr.; and grandchild, Peter Joseph deNight.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Bernolfo; his son, Anthony Bernolfo; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Paradise Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 9300 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, Ariz.
