Angeline “Angie” Teresa Ryan, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday morning, Aug. 12, 2022. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Father Aaron Junge. Burial will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, Cedar Rapids.
Angie is survived by her children, Kathleen (Bill) Moody, Larry (Linda) Ryan, Jan Ryan and Lisa (Lee) Holladay; seven grandchildren, Tim (Annette) Moody, Chris (Rachel) Moody, Josh (Kim) Hogan, Jessica Holladay, Andrew (Kelsey Craig) Holladay, Ryan Holladay and Larinda Ryan; six great-grandchildren, Tayler, Anna, Abby, Ethan, Janey and Savannah; three sisters, JoAnn Poppe, Beatrice Poppe and Darlene (Konrad) Maibaum; and a brother, Joe Foxhoven.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Ryan, in 2003; one sister and five brothers.
Angie was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Crofton, Neb., the fourth of eleven children born to Henry and Veronica (Feldhacker) Foxhoven. She married Donald J. Ryan on June 6, 1951, in Constance, Neb.
Angie was a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids and a lifelong homemaker. She also was the bookkeeper for her husband’s and son’s business, Ryan’s Siding and Roofing Co. Later in life she was employed at the Cedar Rapids Penny Saver.
Angie’s greatest joy in life was being with her family.
