Angela Lynn Kies of North Newton, Kansas, died on August 23, 2025.
Angela, 44, grew up in Cedar Rapids. She attended Grant Wood Elementary School, McKinley Middle School, and Washington High School. She graduated from Mt. Mercy University with a degree in chemistry. She was employed by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
Angela was a skilled hydroponic gardener, a loving pet owner, and a devoted and dedicated mom.
Angela is survived by her parents, Martin “Pete” Kies (Deb Hunemuller), Desiree Fisiwe Kies (Louise Bucolo), sister Nonhlanla Frances “Lucky” Kies-Feth (Jason Feth), brother Matthew Gerald Kies (Roxana Hoveyda), daughter Hope Ediger, and son Henry Ediger.
Angela was beloved by many.
