Angela “Angie” Mae Sain, beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend left this world at the age of 40, on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Cedar Memorial Park Stateroom. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
Angie Mae Sain was born on Aug. 17, 1983, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the beloved daughter of Gary and LeAnn (Kilpatrick) Drew. She graduated from John F Kennedy High School, with the class of 2002. Angie attended Capri Cosmetology School and earned her cosmetology degree. She began her career at Cost Cutters before finding her true home at Edge Salon.
She was loving, funny, positive, outgoing, vivacious and could always bring a smile to anyone’s face. Angie enjoyed decorating for the various seasons, binge watching reality tv with Kiley and her job at Edge Salon. Her greatest love was her three daughters and family. Angie will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and immeasurable caring personality.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kiley (fiance, Lane Thompson), Kaliyah, Lola Sain and their father, Brandon Sain, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; parents, Gary and LeAnn Drew; two siblings, Jill (Gary Kreutner) Drew and Justin Drew; grandmothers, Jeanette Kilpatrick and Sarah Drew; nieces, Laila Sain and Ava Steffen; a nephew, Traijan Sain; significant other, Josh Parrott; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended loving family members and friends.
Angie was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Donald Drew and Tom Kilpatrick; and an uncle, Duane Drew.
To say Angie’s presence in everyone’s lives will be greatly missed is an understatement. When you think of Angie, celebrate the good memories you have of and with her. She had the biggest heart, and she will be greatly missed. We love you Angie, forever and always.
