"HOLLYWOOD" MARSH

Andrew Richard
"Hollywood" Marsh, 46, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Private committal service will take place at a later date.
Andrew is survived by his son, Ashton; daughter, Chloe; parents, Dennis and Shirley Marsh; sister, Christy Wilson; two nephews, Chad Wilson and Ryan Wilson; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Alberta Marsh; and maternal grandparents, Carl and Harriet Struchen.
Andrew was born Jan. 29, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Dennis and Shirley (Struchen) Marsh. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in California as well as in the local area and completed the iron worker scaffold worker certification. Andy also worked as a semi driver with Midwestern Trading and Iowa Distribution Service, driving many miles over the road. He worked long hours but always looked forward to having fun when work was completed. It wasn't just about him having fun, but he always wanted others to have fun as well.
His friends meant a lot to him – the fun often started with his Harley motorcycle or on the river with his boat.
Andy's life was based on his drive to never be afraid of new demands relating to new job experiences or life in general. He was always ready to take on a new challenge. Andy took great pride in what he could accomplish.
