Andrew L. Dundon, 45, of Iowa City, passed away on Nov. 16, 2022, at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines following a battle with cancer.
Andy was born on Jan. 30, 1977, with Spina Bifida. He had a challenging life but tackled every battle with courage and strength. His uncle Mike and Aunt Bev were a wonderful support system during his difficult journey. He was very loved by family and friends.
Andy worked a few years at Tom's Carpets & Vinyls in the office and was later employed as a telemarketer. He loved being around people. He was notoriously sarcastic and loved making people laugh. Andy was a big sports fanatic and always supported the Iowa Hawkeyes and Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling.
Andy is survived by his mother, Barb Dundon; brother, Kyle Dundon; sister, Mikayla Dundon (Phil Minkus); niece, Sophie Minkus; fiancé, Jamie Barker, and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Dundon; his grandparents, Robert (Dorothy) Lumpa and Lewis (Helen) Dundon; as well as other family members.
