Andresen, Hazel M.
Hazel M. Andresen, 89, formerly of Tipton, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Graveside services will be held in the Spring of 2014 at Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

Hazel was the daughter of William F. and Frieda Rixe Hamilton, and was born April 10, 1924, in Tipton. Hazel was a 1942 graduate of Tipton High School and a graduate of Paris Beauty Academy in Cedar Rapids. Hazel was united in marriage to Ralph W. Andresen on May 7, 1944, in Clarence.
She was a past member of the First United Church of Christ, Women of the Moose, VFW Auxiliary and various church circles. She was a beautician for 44 years.
Hazel is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Steve) Strasburger of Cedar Rapids and Elise Kukuzke of Marengo; son, William Andresen of Jersey City, N.J.; brothers, Maynard Hamilton of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Edward Hamilton of Humboldt; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Grace Olson, Doris Hines, Rosalie Roads and Angia McQuillen; and brothers, William and Dale Hamilton.
