Anderson, Patricia A.

Patricia A. Anderson, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer that was diagnosed in November of 2010. Memorial services at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Private inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Survivors include a daughter, Angela (Daren) Campbell of Jacksonville, N.C.; a son, Aaron (Amber) of Spooner, Wis.; her mother, Genevieve Hall of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Sheri Yancey of Cedar Rapids and Judy (Earl) Sigwarth of Toddville. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Andy and Chloe Campbell and A.J. Anderson; two nephews, Trent Sigwarth and Derek Yancey; and a dear friend, Patti Welter. She was preceded in death by her father in December 2005 and a nephew, Travis Sigwarth, in July of 2006.

Patricia was born on Jan. 9, 1946 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Donald and Genevieve Fritz Hall. Patricia graduated from Jefferson High School in 1964 and later from the Young School of Cosmetology. She was a hair stylist for over 45 years, the last 24 years at the J.C. Penney Styling Salon.

Patricia enjoyed going to the casino, baking, gardening, taking care of her three kitties, and especially the time she spent with her beloved family and many, many friends.
