Anderson, Eileen C. (Bulman)
Eileen C. (Bulman) Anderson, 83, passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Willow Gardens Care Center surrounded by her family. Services: 3 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, Cedar Rapids, where a visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Eileen was born Nov. 9, 1927, near Dorchester, Iowa, to John and Clara Bulman. Eileen moved to Cedar Rapids in the early 1940s where she met and married James F. Anderson (Andy) on March 9, 1946.
She is survived by her sons, James (Howdy) and wife Deb, Steven and wife Mary Kay, and Dave and wife Mary; daughter, Teresa Janda and husband Larry; her two brothers, Randy Bulman and Lloyd Bulman; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; very dear and special friend, Dale Snyder; and her wonderful care giver, Katie McVay.
Eileen loved humming birds very much. She loved to fish, bake, garden and spend time with her family. Eileen was known to many as gramma and managed to rebuild her life after losing her home in the flood.
Here's to a good strong willed women. May we know them, may we raise them, may we be them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andy; a brother, Lester; a daughter, Barbie; and a son, Michael.
