Anderson, Donald M.
Donald M. Anderson, 82, passed away at his home in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 26, 2012.
He was born in Decorah, Iowa, to Gilbert and Louella (Jastaad) Anderson. Donald moved to Cedar Rapids in 1955 and went to work for Cedarapids Inc. (Iowa Manufacturing) In 1959, Donald met Anita Amling and they married Feb. 27, 1960.
Donald enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing cards with family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife, Anita; children, Delbert, Stephen, Jeff and JoAnn Anderson; a brother, Gordon (Marion) Anderson; two sisters, Bev (Carsten) Steen and Franny (Emil) Frana; and five grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and six sisters.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Iowa Cremation.
