Anderson, Carolyn Rene

Carolyn Rene Anderson, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, due to complications of cancer. Per Rene's wishes she was cremated. A celebration of her life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at South Troy Park in Robins. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her son, Andy Anderson; Andy's father, Gary Anderson; three brothers, Terry (Tess) Leidigh, Jim (Paula) Leidigh and Rick (Jaci) Leidigh; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rene was born Aug. 31, 1950, the daughter of Ray and Dorothy (Hutchcroft) Leidigh in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Regis High School in 1968.

Rene enjoyed life to the fullest. She was an excellent photographer and enjoyed reading. Rene was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society in memory of Rene.
