Anders, Harry R. (Bob)
Harry R. (Bob) Anders, 87, of Lamoni, since 2006, formerly of Cedar Rapids, from 1947 to 2006, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Decatur County Hospital, Leon, Iowa, after a short illness. Services will be at a future date. Burial: Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Bob is survived by his two sons, Robert D. of Plant City, Fla., and Steven L. (Janelle) of Lamoni; daughter, Jo Rachelle Bowman of Springdale, Ark.; sister, Frances Smith of Howell, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
His wife, Lahonta (1987); son, Martin Dale (1949); and parents, preceded Bob in death.
Harry R. Anders was born July 30, 1922, in Des Moines, son of Harry and Grace Huffy Anders. He married Lahonta Davis Anders. Bob served in the United States Army during World War II, stationed in South Pacific. He worked as a manager of sales supplies for LeFebure Corporation, Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Community of Christ Church.
