Amy Neel, 47, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on May 5, 2024.
Amy was born in Cedar Rapids to Daniel Neel and Priscilla Sackett on May 21, 1976.
Following graduation from Linn-Mar High School, Amy attended Kirkwood Community College where she received her associate degree in graphic design. After college, Amy moved to Austin, Texas and worked her way up to become the store manager of a successful tuxedo rental company. After 16 years, Amy moved back to Iowa and worked as a night auditor for a local hotel for the past six years.
In her spare time, Amy enjoyed traveling, playing cards and video games and was a self-proclaimed “foodie.” She always looked forward to trying new recipes and new restaurants.
Amy is survived by her mother, Priscilla Sackett (Mike Nicholls); father, Daniel (Carol) Neel; brother, Steve Neel as well as nephews: Andrew, Caleb, David and Andrew Neel and nieces: Emma and Elaine Brustkern. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Katie Neel.
At this time, cremation has been accorded and no services are planned. Memorials may be made to the Iowa Donor Network and online condolences may be shared at www.lensingfuneral.com.
