Amy Hoyt, 40, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at Oldorf Hospice House surrounded by family.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. before the service. A private family burial will follow.
Survivors include her husband, Craig Hoyt; mother, Pat Stuckenschneider; sister, Trudi (Kent) Fry; brother, Dan (Yvonne) Stuckenschneider; two stepsons and one stepdaughter; three nieces; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, James Stuckenschneider; her sister, Kelly Bormann; and her grandparents.
Amy was born on Sept. 25, 1978, in Cedar Rapids to James and Pat Stuckenschneider. Amy attended St. Ludmila and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1996. Amy worked at Pharmacy Care Associates as a pharmacy tech. She met the love of her life, Craig, whom she later married in 2009. Amy enjoyed spending time with family, especially her nieces, great-nieces and great-nephew.
