Alyce Marie Sindt, 93, formerly of Belle Plaine, IA passed away August 12, 2025 at Compass Memorial Healthcare, Marengo, IA.
Alyce was born March 27, 1932 to John and Olive (Fowler) Thede in Tama County, IA. She attended country school and graduated from Hartwick High School. Alyce was married and widowed twice; through these unions she was blessed with seven children. Alice worked various jobs before becoming a homemaker raising her children. As they grew, Alyce went to work for Rockwell Collins until retirement. Following retirement, she started her daycare caring for many children.
Alyce was an animal lover, taking in any animal while on the farm. She was also a talented bowler playing league in Belle Plaine and qualified for nationals in Vegas. She had a love for being outdoors, trail riding, fishing, camping, gardening and cherished her time taking care of family. She was a member of the Belle Plaine Legion Auxiliary for many years.
Alyce is survived by her 6 children; many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren and loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husbands; daughter, and siblings.
Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service with visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, IA.
