Alyce H. Cleeremans, 102, of Monroe, Wis., died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at Pleasant View Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Canby, Minn., the daughter of Paul and Sidsel (Nielsen) Danniger. Alyce and Clarence F. Cleeremans were united in marriage on Aug. 16, 1938, in Minneapolis.

Alyce worked at Guaranty Bank, Armstrong Department Store and Collins, all in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and later was a school librarian in Litchfield, Minn.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. She enjoyed knitting, bridge and reading and loved spending time with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Daryl) Murken of New Glarus; grandchildren, Robert (Linda) Polansky of Waterloo, Ill., James (Elizabeth) Polanzke of York, Pa., Alison Sammartano of Lemont, Ill., Eric (Kathryn) Murken of Chicago and Heidi (Brian) Borkenhagen of Grafton, Wis.; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah (Drew), Rebecca, Mirella, Matteo, Bennett and Anna; and a great-great- granddaughter, Adalynn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Ruth Polansky; and sister, Della Danninger.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of service Monday at the church.

Memorials may be given in Alyce's name to Grace Lutheran Church.
