Alyce Bramer
Anamosa
On Jan. 15, 2024, Alyce Bramer passed away peacefully at the age of 91. An Iowa native, she lived for over 50 years in Anamosa, where she raised her two children with her husband Jerry. Born in Mt. Vernon, she graduated with a B.A. in music and home economics from Simpson College. After Jerry’s retirement from teaching, they traveled the country, visiting historic sites and enjoying theater and various stage shows. She was an avid gardener, and several times over the years her yard boasted a "Yard of the Week" sign. After the death of her husband of 52 years, she would often spend time with her sister Opal before moving to Denver to be closer to her children.
Alyce was predeceased by Jerry and her son Dan. She is survived by her daughter Julie, son-in-law Jim, and her grandson Daniel.
A graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids on January 25 at 1 pm.
