Allnutt, Betty M.
Betty M. Allnutt, 78, of 1819 Eastern Dr. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at First Church of the Open Bible, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dan Sanford and the Rev. Larry Janda. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Larry Sexton of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick, Larry Jr., Patrick, David, Derek, Elizabeth, Tyler and Jeremy; sisters, Dorothy Ozios of Burnet, Texas and Florence VanAntwarp; and family friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Sexton; and brothers, Robert and Bill Davis.
Born May 23, 1932, in Tucumcari, N.M., Betty was the daughter of Asa and Lillian (Moore) Rucker. For over 34 years she was employed at Wilson Packing House.
Betty was a member of First Church of the Open Bible and worked in the church nursery for 38 years. She enjoyed going out to meals with her church friends and writing poetry.
