Allen Lee Sillick, 55, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, May 4, 2015. A visitation will be Saturday from noon until 3 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lu Ann Sillick; his children, Matthew (Jen) Watson and Corrine Sillick, and his mother, Helen Sillick, all of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, twin brother Brian Sillick, Kevin Sillick and Carol Hepner, all of Cedar Rapids, and Ardis Sillick of Iowa City; his grandsons, Gavin and Garrett Watson of Cedar Rapids; a sister-in-law, Macel (Keven) Ralston of Cedar Rapids; brother-in-law, Patrick Mullin of Washington state; a niece, Abby Ralston of Cedar Rapids; and many more family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Sillick.
Allen was born Dec. 27, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Vernon and Helen (Roseberry) Sillick. He married Lu Ann Mullin on Oct. 9, 1980, at Palisades State Park. Allen was a welder at DAD Manufacturing for 30 years.
He was a perfectionist, hard-working, self-taught man of many talents, including tattooing, metal design, music, art, and a longtime Harley enthusiast and builder.
Allen was a friend to all. He will be with us forever.
