Allen Donald Nading passed away Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Allen was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Mederville, Iowa, to Donald and Evelyn Nading. Allen joined the Air Force after graduating from Washington High School in 1965. After returning home,
he was united in marriage to Virginia Van Dyke in June 1968. Their daughter, Sarah, joined their little family in June 1970. Allen later wed Beverly Porter and along came another daughter, Carmen in 1975.
A man who loved working with his hands, he could build anything. Guns and tools were his favorite creations. One of his most memorable and most loved projects was a full-sized boat that he built ... in his living room. (Gotta love it!) He was a hardworking man who would help anyone in any way that he could.
Allen was predeceased by his father and mother.
He is survived by his daughters, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He will be missed by his family and friends and remembered fondly.
