Allen L. Wenndt, age 84 of Clarence, passed away at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital on Wednesday May 14, 2025. Cremation rites have taken place and per Allen’s request there will be no services.
Allen was born December 11, 1940 to Herbert and Leona (Gade) Wenndt in Lowden, Iowa. He was married to Sandy Mohr and later divorced. He then married Sig Schlotfeldt on March 15, 1975 in Lowden.
Survivors include his wife Sig; sons Alex Wenndt and Andy Wenndt of Cedar Rapids, and Kory (Stacy) of Denver, CO; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brother Herbert Wenndt, Jr. of Chariton, IA and former daughter-in-law Mary Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Sandy; and his brother Eugene.
Allen was an avid supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes, whether it was the men’s or women’s basketball team taking the court. He was a huge Caitlin Clark fan and enjoyed the outdoors with his favorite snack, popcorn, whether it be camping or fishing.
