Allen Leo Brecht, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at Marengo Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery.
Allen was born June 24, 1941, in Norway to Kenneth and Marie (Schulte) Brecht. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a 50-year member of the National Catholic Order of Foresters.
Allen is survived by his sister, Bonnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Allen worked on the family farm many years and also at the Norway Grain Elevator. He was a custodian and bus driver for Norway Community Schools for over 20 years and custodian at the Norway Post Office for 10 years.
