Allan Wilcox, 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.

Surviving are his wife, Susan; two children, Jennifer (Jack) Leefleur, Bellevue, and Jeff Wilcox, Anamosa; a grand-daughter, Samantha; and his sister, Mary Willey, Ankeny.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Allan Lewis Wilcox was born Jan. 27, 1942, in Tama, Iowa, the son of Lewis and Margaret Chadwick Wilcox. Allan graduated from Tama High School in 1960. He worked as a produce manager at Clifton Stores in Tama and Marshalltown and for Smitty's Grocery in Marshalltown. Allan married Susan K. Elliott on May 19, 1973, in Marshalltown. In 1982, the couple moved to Anamosa, where Allan was produce manager at Family Foods. He retired in 2009.
Allan was an avid Hawkeye basketball and football fan and had even attended several bowl games.
