Allan W. Kintzle, 85, of McHenry, Illinois, born and raised in Earlville, Iowa, formerly of Arlington Heights, Illinois, for 61 years, passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2026, after bravely battling pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ronda, son Jeff (Kim) Kintzle; grandchildren Mike (Brooke), Stefanie (Mike) Weeden and Jack Kintzle (Kaleigh Chabra); great-grandchildren Kyler & Kendra Kintzle, and Everly Weeden, and six siblings: Dale, Dave, Jan, Ruth Ann, Kathy, and Mark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Agnes Kintzle; and siblings Mike, Jean, Jerry, and Rick.
Al was a math teacher and coach (golf and basketball) in Arlington Heights his entire career.
Al will be remembered for his fairness, generosity, wisdom, patience, and dry sense of humor. His greatest joys in life were spending time with family and playing golf; 40 years of golf at Rolling Green CC and 12 winters at Estero CC in Florida. He loved playing bridge with family and friends and a lively euchre game with the Kintzle family.
Visitation: March 7, 9:30-10:45 a.m., followed by 11 a.m. mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Earlville, Iowa. Celebration of Life luncheon at the Earlville community center after mass.
