Alice M. (Abodeely) Scollon, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Cedar Memorial Chapel with burial at St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Alice was born Jan. 27, 1923, to Eli and Vida Abodeely. She married Christopher DeVere Scollon on March 27, 1943.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Jim) Hoben and Sandy Scollon; three brothers, Fred Abbo, Nick (Catherine) Abodeely and George (Sandy) Abodeely; three grandchildren, Jamie, Kimberly and Julie; and four great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Emily Aboud.
She will be remembered by many for her love of disco dancing well into her 80s with her nephew, Don Houghton. Next to her family dancing was her greatest love.
