Alice Inga Lisa Ottoson, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Eagle Ridge Community Center, 1285 Red Fox Way, Marion.
Alice was born May 23, 1927, in Sweden, the daughter of Frans and Linnea (Josefsson) Gustafson. She attended Austin High School in Chicago, and was employed as a payroll clerk for South Chicago Community Hospital. She also worked at St. Andrews Apartments. Alice enjoyed cross-stitching, golf and bowling.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry Smith of Marion; son, Steve (Chris) Ottoson of Cedar Rapids; grandson, Andrew (Emily) Smith of Marion; two granddaughters, Angie (Cody) Berhow of Des Moines and Kristie (Nick) Hawkins of Omaha, Neb.; and great-grandchildren, Edison Smith and Carter and Brady Shinn.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Thora and Margit; brothers, Allen and John; and multiple nieces and nephews.
