ALICE JO ANN MANN Cedar Rapids Alice Jo Ann Mann, 86, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, after a long illness. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Evergreen Garden, officiated by Chaplain Jim Goodrich. Alice was born April 27, 1929, to John and Sophie McClarrinon in Arlington, Iowa. Survivors include his daughters, Jean Ann (Larry) Hartke of Emporia, Kan., Amy (Phil Butterfield) Schloss of Cedar Rapids and Kristi Marie (Dave) Sherzer of Cedar Rapids; grand-children, Hallie Jo Schloss, Anthony Ray Schloss, Jonah James Sherzer and Jacob Russell Sherzer; and her great-granddaughters, Maliah Shea Carpenter, Alayna and Baylee Schloss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; and her two sisters. Alice retired in 2004 from General Mills, where she worked as a maintenance worker. She loved baking, flowers and animals of all kinds. Another passion of hers was music and dancing, where she continued to dance even in her old age. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
