Alice Lee, 87, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Silvercrest of Anamosa. Services will be 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. John Keizer will officiate at the service. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughters, Marilyn Lee of Marion and Pam Lee of Pleasant Hill, Des Moines; grandchildren, Carla Lee, Christine Lee and April Lee, and great-grand- daughter, Natasha Lee, all of the Des Moines area; and foster daughter, Mary Swally of Wellman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, in August; and a brother, Donald Nicoll.
Alice was born April 16, 1927, in Freemont Township, Cedar County, Iowa, daughter of Harold and Alberta Coither Nicoll. Alice graduated from Iowa State Teachers College. On Sept. 27, 1953, Alice and Eldon Lee were united in marriage in Mechanics-ville. Alice spent more than 40 years teaching.
She was a member of the Springville United Methodist Church, Circle S Group, ABWA and Eastern Star.
Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
