Alice M. Hunt, 87, of Earlville, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at Earlville United Parish. Family will greet friends from 9 to 11 a.m. before services at the church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Arrangements by Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville.
Alice was born April 28, 1927, in Earlville, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Simons) Hunt. She graduated from Earlville High School in 1943. Alice trained in the United States Women's Army Corps before receiving her degree from St. Luke's College of Nursing in 1948. Alice worked as a nurse at Manchester Memorial Hospital for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Earlville United Parish, Retired Nurses Association and United Parish Women.
Alice was a caregiver and very generous. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye women's basketball.
Surviving are 11 nieces and nephews, Larry Dean Hunt, George Hunt, Mary Lou Hunt, Bonnie Jean Hunt, Billy Hunt, Larry Hunt, Judy Hunt Bush, Linda Hunt Moellers, Deborah June Hunt Hughes, Carl Hunt and Dale Hunt.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wendell, Merwyn, Vincent, Marion, Burton and Claude; and a sister in infancy.
