Alice Lee Tucker Hayes, 95, of Marengo, died Wednesday morning, June 25, 2014, at Rose Haven
Nursing Home, Ma-rengo. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Matt German officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
A memorial fund has been established.
Alice is survived by a daughter, Elaine Cooney and husband Gary of Hudson; five grandchildren, Vance Schumacher (Adrienne) of Cedar Rapids, Serena Brueggemeyer (Erik) of Cedar Rapids, Alisa Cooney of Waterloo, Alison Foughty (Scott) of Polk City and Johnette Stephenson (Jeff) of Belle Plaine; nine great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Larry Schumacher of Marengo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles David and Elizabeth Ryan Tucker; her husband, Howard Hayes, in 2005; a daughter, Gloria Schumacher, in 2012; a son, John Hayes, in 2010; his wife, Florence, in 2013; four brothers and five sisters.
