Alice Burr, 82, of Lone Tree, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at Bickford Cottage, Iowa City. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, Muscatine. The Rev. Barbara Muhs will officiate. Burial will take place in Lime City Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Alice was born Sept. 25, 1934, in Lime City, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Bertha Ford Proctor. She married Gerald W. Burr on Sept. 11, 1954, in Muscatine. She enjoyed gardening and flower arranging. She especially loved her family.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gerald Burr of Lone Tree; one son, Stephen Burr and his wife, Lisa, of Muscatine and their children, Cheyenne Burr and Shayna Burr; one daughter, Cynthia Burr and her husband, Steven Miller, of Riverside and their children, Travis and Natalie Mills of Erie, Ill., and Natasha Mills of Lone Tree; three great-grandchildren, Brantley Mills, Jayden and Gracie Short; one brother, Lester Proctor of Rochester; and three sisters, Mary Benninger of Muskegon, Mich., Darlene Stender and Linda Martin, both of Muscatine.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alva Proctor and Donald Proctor, and four sisters, Ruby McCormick, Bonnie Hunter, Doris Smith and Barbara Proctor.
