Alice Evelyn Altmaier, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Northbrook Manor, Cedar Rapids. Per Alice's wishes, no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Victor) Pierson of Cedar Rapids; and two grandsons, Gary Heck of Minneapolis and David Heck of Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Duane Hubbard.
Alice was born Aug. 15, 1927, in Bay-Minette, Ala., the daughter of Frank and Alice (Flowers) Richardson. She worked for Per Mar Security, Rockwell Collins and Turner Microphone. She was a ship builder during World War II in Mobile, Ala.
Alice enjoyed crocheting and talking with people.
