Aldrich, Patty Kay
Patty Kay Aldrich, 60, of Oxford, formerly North English, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial of her ashes will be at a later date in the North English Cemetery.
Patty Kay Aldrich was born Jan. 9, 1952, in Sigourney, Iowa, a daughter of Marvin E. “Pete” and Luella May (McArtor) Aldrich. She grew up in North English and graduated from English Valleys High School. Patty attended Kirkwood School of Nursing and was a registered nurse at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for many years. She made her home in Iowa City and West Branch before moving to Oxford. Recently she had worked at the Depot in Oxford.
Patty is survived by a sister, Myrna Heitshusen of Williamsburg; and brothers, Lynn (Sondra) Aldrich of North English, Gary Aldrich of Iowa City and Darrell (Lisette) of Fond Du Lac, Wis. She is also survived by her special friends and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, Ralph Heitshusen.
