Aldrich, Earl Ernest
Earl Ernest Aldrich, 92, of Manchester, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.
He was born June 22, 1921, in Ryan, the son of Ezra and Clara E. (Zimmerman) Aldrich. Earl attended Hazel Green Township and Buck Creek schools. On Sept. 19, 1941, Earl was united in marriage to Marie L. Connolly at Golden Congregational Church. They farmed in the Ryan area until moving to their farm near Earlville in 1952. Earl bought feeder pigs and did local trucking while farming. They retired to Manchester in 1987.
Earl loved being with family, golfing, playing cards and visiting with others.
Earl will be sadly missed by his three children, Karen K. (Richard) Cole of Delhi, Delbert P. (Diane) Aldrich of Manchester and David E. (Linda) Aldrich of Marion; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Kaiser of Manchester; and brother-in-law, Cyril Schultz of Manchester.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Clara Aldrich; his wife, Marie Aldrich on Nov. 26, 2000; two brothers, Henry and Harold Aldrich; and one sister, Berniece Smith.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Community Congregational Church in Manchester, with Pastor Kurt Pasko officiating. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Interment: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
