Alderson, Karen M.
Karen M. Alderson, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Living Center West, Cedar Rapids. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne, Neb. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne, Neb.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; dog, Sadie; daughters, Stacey and Tanis; son, Jason Stevenson; and sister, Marlene Warner-Wayman.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
Born Dec. 19, 1940, in Wayne, Neb., Karen was the daughter of Herbert and Meta (Frievert) Thun. On Dec. 12, 1986, she was united in marriage to Richard Alderson in Sterling, Neb.
Karen loved animals, flowers and her husband.
