Alden, Jason Harold
Jason Harold Alden, 34, died Sunday, May 27, 2012, from injuries suffered in a single car automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday June 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairieburg, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Iowa City. Additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Prairieburg, with a luncheon to follow the committal service. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.

Jason was born July 10, 1977, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Mike and Mary Lou Holub Alden. He was a graduate of ED-CO High School in Edgewood.
He was employed with Bachmeier Carpet One. Jason enjoyed fishing, camping, his job and was a loving father.
Survivors include his fiancee, Destiny Brumbaugh of North Liberty; mother, Mary Lou (Travis) Coonfare of Dundee; father, Mike Alden of Cedar Rapids; five children, Jason Harold Alden Jr., Ella Rae Alden, Olivia Jo Alden, Alice Marija Alden and Serenity Elizabeth; three brothers, Adam Alden of Mount Vernon, Nick (Bobbie) Ganoe of Central City, and Cody Kuehl of Edgewood; stepbrother, Lucas Coonfare of Volga; sister, Katie Alden of Monticello; and paternal grandmother, Carol Krumm.
