ALBERT "CHUCK" HELLER
Prairieburg
Albert "Chuck" Heller, 82, of Prairieburg, passed away following a long illness on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Prairieburg, officiated by Father Dennis Cahill. Prayer vigil: 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Murdoch Funeral Home in Central City. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at the funeral home and one hour before the service at the church. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Prairieburg.
Albert "Chuck" Heller was born Nov. 12, 1932, in DeKalb, Ill., to his parents, Emil and Bernice (Horn) Heller. Chuck served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He married Barbara Beranek at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Prairieburg on June 27, 1961. Chuck retired from Rockwell after 29 years as an electrical engineer and then worked for 10 years as a government inspector.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Timothy (Monica) Heller of Houston, Texas, and Randall (Lisa) Heller of Prairieburg; three grandchildren, Ethan, Benjamin and Peter Heller; and his sister, Joan Sadewasser of Guttenburg.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Fred Maahs; two brothers, LaVerne "Snooks" Heller and Nickson Horn; one brother-in-law, Donald Sadewasser; and one sister-in-law, Coralie Heller.
