Albert "Al" N. Grendler, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. Private family services will be at a later date. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.
Al was born June 25, 1931, in Blairstown, Iowa. He was employed at Wilson/Farmstead Foods until his retirement.
Al was a Marine and served during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and playing euchre with his friends.
Surviving Al are his wife, Dorothy Mae; children, Phyllis Beauchamp, Roy Grendler, Peggy (Mike) Hoffman, Dale Grendler, Lewis Kevin (Wendy) Grendler and James (Jean) Nicholson; three stepdaughters, Linda (Dennis) Sanders, Brenda Mason and Tina Lewis; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
