Albert L. Buelow, 94, of Marion, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at the Villages in Marion. Services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Center Point, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. The Rev. David Hansen will officiate. Burial at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Esther (Corkey); three sons, Dale and LeRoy (Linda), all of Cedar Rapids, and Wayne (Melonie) of Center Point; two daughters, JoAnn Buck of Cedar Rapids and Mary Behrens of Toddville; and a brother, Raymond (Mae) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Albert was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Luzerne, the son of Louis and Augusta Willenbrook Buelow. He married Esther M. (Corkey) Hensing on Aug. 18, 1946 in Vinton. Albert farmed in the Center Point area for many years and later drove truck. He was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed riding horses.
Albert will always be remember for his love of farming and family. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
