Albaugh, Arlene Anne
Arlene Anne Albaugh, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Inurnment will follow in Czech National Cemetery.
Arlene was born Oct. 13, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Sigmund) Chadima. Arlene lived in Lake Forest, Calif., for over 33 years, until moving back home to Cedar Rapids in 2010.
Arlene is survived by her children, Don (Peggy Sue) Albaugh of Troy Mills, Chuck (Sharon) Albaugh of Hiawatha, and Carol Albaugh-Manning (Bill) of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Alica (Doug) Powell of Troy Mills, Lance (Deborah) Albaugh of Waverly, Mo., Don Jr. (Bonyta) Albaugh of Walker, Scott (Sherry) Albaugh of Chandler, Ariz., and Tyler Manning of Omaha, Neb.; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; cousin, Judie (Bob) Tosh of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Irene Snyder of Buena Park, Calif., and Carleeta (Ed Sr.) Eichler of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mildred (Sigmund) Chadima; and devoted husband, Marion L. Albaugh.
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation for the kindness of each caregiver at Hospice House of Mercy and requests memorials to Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, in lieu of flowers.
