Alatalo, William G.
William G. Alatalo, 46, of Longmont, Colo., passed away Feb. 8, 2011, at his home, surrounded with family, after a brave battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his parents, Don and Connie Alatalo of Iowa; and his brothers, David, Rick, Brian and Brad.
He was born Dec. 23, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from George Washington Senior High School. Bill moved to Colorado in 1986, meeting his wife, Christine Brizal, in 1987. Bill was an outstanding father to Crystal, Cassondra and Josh and grandson, King William.
Bill started Greenscape Landscaping in 1994. His youngest brother, Brad, joined him in 1999 and they grew the business together. He loved the work he did and the people he worked for.
Bill had a heart of gold and a playful spirit. He was well respected in the community he served, and was always there to help anyone who needed it.
His passions in life were football, the Dallas Cowboys, running his business and being a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family who he loved with all of his heart.
He was truly loved and will forever be missed.
All are welcome to celebrate his life on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m. at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, Colo. A reception will follow the services at 121 Placer Ave. in Longmont.
