Decorah
Alan White, 57, of Decorah, Iowa, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at his home north of Decorah.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Big Canoe Lutheran Church, Decorah, with the Rev. Kurt Bockoven officiating. Burial will be in the Big Canoe Lutheran Cemetery, rural Decorah. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 8, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave., Decorah, and also after 10 a.m. at the church on Tuesday.
Alan's survivors include his four children, Brooke White, La Crescent, Minn., J. D. (Leslie) White, Decorah, Iowa, Stacy (Reid) Williams, Decorah, Iowa, and Drew White (fiancee Jackie Peterson), LaCrosse, Wis.; one grandchild, Cabe White; parents, Marshal and Beverly White, Shellsburg, Iowa; three sisters, Laurie (John) Mayhew, Vinton, Iowa, Lynda Ollinger, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Janine (Gale) Rowden, Shellsburg, Iowa; mother-in-law, Loretta Wenner, Vinton, Iowa; sister-in-law, Melissa (Mike) Davis, Vinton, Iowa; brother-in-law, Scott (Diana) Wenner, Williamsburg, Iowa; and special friend, LaShelle Evans, Decorah, Iowa. Al is also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with a host of close friends who were always there for support.
