Adams, Grace Eldora
Grace Eldora Adams, 97, died Tuesday July 3, 2012, at the Anamosa Care Center in Anamosa. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, at the United Methodist Church in Anamosa. Pastor Laurie Riley will officiate at the service. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa.

Surviving are her daughters, L. Kay Finn of Marion and Roxiene Adams-Shada and her husband, Tim Shada, of Anamosa; her grandchildren, Renae Forsyth-Christy (Joe), H. Mike (Karen) Stufflebeam, Mitchel (Joyce) Finn, Darrel (Jenny) Stufflebeam, Sean (Stacey) Finn, Kirsten (Mike) Steger and Paige (Matt) Majeski; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and three brothers, John Mitchell of Rock Falls, Ill., Wesley Mitchell of Illinois and Lesley (Nora) Mitchell of Polo, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrel (1974); a daughter, Candice Ann Adams; two sisters, Cora Shirly Folk and Ada Rasmussen; two brothers, Frank and Dean Mitchell; and a son-in-law, Tom Finn.
Grace Eldora Mitchell was born Jan. 20, 1915, in rural Hooper, Neb., at the family home, the daughter of Frank and Cora Renninger Mitchell. Grace was a 1933 graduate of Hooper High School in Nebraska. On Sept. 24, 1939, Grace and Darrel Adams were united in marriage in Nebraska. Grace worked as an Avon representative for more than 12 years along with taking care of things at home.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Anamosa for more than 60 years and the Anamosa Woman's Auxiliary VFW Post.
Grace was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
